OK, I was just wondering. I kinda thought it odd that when I sent back a PM asking who he was, I got no answer, but, ah well.

Ok, I was away all weekend and I just read through this whole thread so I'm going to try answering a whole bunch of things with one post.
Oh, by the way, Happy Easter everyone!
usmu, SiPList is good, but basically slow these days. Only some of the "die hard" members are left, but they are the best ones, and the more interesting people so I still love hanging around. (I can give you some names if you want?)
And since everyone has done such a good job of repsonding to my posts, and telling me about them selves, I think I may feel comfortable enough giving you my initital first impressions.
The first two people that stood out for me were Miral and Ski, mostly because they both had the most hilarious signatures. I couldn't stop laughing. Miral also likes Micahel Rosenbaum, so she rocks.
Erisesoteric is wrong about my opinion of her. I love her. She's the coolest with the kind of sense of humor and "mom" type attitude she seems to carry around here. (That's really funny that she thinks she's an observer. OW! My sides hurt from laughing!)
Crazy A is, well crazy, but I like him too. One day I would like to meet Jelymo and Orenda since we supposedly live in the same city, but I'm more than happy to wait, if people like their privacy.
I knew Jax from the other board, so he's basically just what I expected, but a little more fun over here. Same goes for AsIs.
That's about it. I know there are others, but I'll mention them as I go along. I was chatting with my friend Kevin Beyer from SiPList the other day and I told him how much I really liked everyone over here. Basically I find everyone here to have so much more of a sense of humor than any other place, and I want to stay because I think I am going to have more fun over here.
Once I get more comfortable that I know some of you, I might even join in the "* slips into the hottub *" kind of threads.

OK, so I'm an observer, I also can't resist a straight line. And these folks manage to set me up at least 3 or 4 times a day. I am relieved to know I haven't pissed you off. I'm much too used to people not "getting" my sense of humor, so sometimes I get worried that I've offended without intending to.

I know! Imagine that!
Just think how bad I'd be without 10 years training in customer service! (Although I wonder if that doesn't make me worse in some ways...)

It probably gives you a better way to present yourself.

Maybe we have a similar sense of humor Eris, but I can't imagine you offending anyone. I think your posts are hilarious!

It's not that I necessarily OFFEND people right and left, it just that people sometimes don't know when I'm joking.
And seriously, the customer service thing... I can present well when I have too, but MAN do I save the backlash up...

When I imagine Eris talking, I think of her having a...I guess the term is "dry wit". That is, she won't necessarily be trying to make someone laugh, but she will deliver it in such a straightforward manner that it can't help but be funny.

It's the Yankee Deadpan sense of humor. You'd be surprised how many people out in the Mid-West just don't get a joke if you're not laughing at it...
